When did you realize branding was needed?
I remember when I realized that we needed rebranding. At one point, a collaborator of ours from Germany came to us for the first time, of course it was his first time in Romania as well. He was surprised that he encountered horse-drawn carts on the national roads, and from the moment he entered our factory, he felt like he was in Germany. In other words, he didin’t notice a difference between being in Romania and being in Germany. Why weren’t we communicating this? Thta’s when I realized that we weren’t presenting who we are, we weren’t showcasing what we have, and we were only talking about products. I thought about branding, of course, I dind’t know much about it and I concluded that I would need to reach out to the best.
Who is UNIKAT today?
It started from a workshop that slowly, through unique products, as I mentioned earlier, began to gain market share. it started to be sought after. After rebranding, it began to be visible. We have always had nearly 90% or more of our production capacity occupied without making too mucg effort in sales. The image has helped us a lot. And the brand has helped us a lot. It provided clarityh between what we produced and what we presented. We set out to make unique products, we called them Unikat and that’s what customers recieved. Demand pushed us towards development. And currently we have a PVC joinery production factory, one for glass and a third factory that produces aluminum joinery.
What changed after rebranding?
The market saw us differently. We were no longer seen as a workshop or amateurs; we were already seen as professionals.
A message for entrepreneurs who haven’t done branding?
This waiting time is time lost that you will never recover. The sooner you undergo the branding or rebranding process, the sooner your development begins. An entrepreneur recieves many business cards, he puts them on a desk. Why would he choose yours? This is what entrepreneurs who don’t already have a brand or even an updated rebranding should think about. Why would they choose you from such a wide variety as exists today?
When is the time for rebranding?
One aspect is what I mentioned earlier, when you realize that the world doesn’t perceive you in your true image. You know where you want to be, you know how you want to look, but you don’t know how to present that. So, you need a specialist to help you bring to reality what you want to know.
